ABOUT THE BOOKS
5 books and counting. I’m the illustrator and designer of the national bestseller, The Diary of Amos Lee. The series follows the ups and downs of being a tween in Singapore. Amos is illustrated digitally. The style is simple with a mix of wit and alot of heart. I try to make every book different by using unusual perspectives in style. To keep things fresh and engaging for young readers, I incorporate elements into the illustrations that reflect the lives of tweens, including tweet boxes, whatsapp screens, and facebook details.
The Diary of Amos Lee has sold more than 200,000 copies worldwide and has been translated into Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin and Slovakian. A Television series based on the books premiered on the Singaporean channel okto in 2012. My illustrations were used in the opening sequence and at times as pop-ups with live action during the show.
I am also involved in the various book launches, talks and workshops that are conducted n schools both locally and internationally. For Press reviews and more information about the series:
